Trip report: SQ9317 Baku-SIN Suites A380

 You can't book this flight even if you wanted. SQ9317 was a rescue flight dispatched from SIN to fetch the stranded passengers on SQ317. Here are some of the pics from Baku.

 After enduing 15 hours at the airport departure area, we were transported to the airport Sheraton where we rested for about 5 hours/

With exception to the circumstances to the emergency flight, the suites experience was indeed very luxurious. Now to claim my travel insurance for the 33 hours delay..

Trip report: SQ305 LHR-SIN Suites A380

We managed to snag 2 saver Suites Class on SQ317. Initially, we were placed on the waiting list for about 2 months. I called about once a week to push for the release and we got lucky. There are 4 flights daily flying this route and 3 of these flights were on A380. We selected seats 3C and 3D.

As this was a early morning flight departing 11am, we arrived at heathrow terminal 3 at about 8 am.
After the check in. We proceeded to the first class lounge where we had breakfast, followed by a buggy ride to the gate!

 First time tasting Krug. Definitely better than Dom 2004.

 Alas. Our perfect honeymoon was marred a few hours later after going to bed. The plane door 3 was not sealed properly, the plane went through depressurization after flying for about 5 hours. the plane had to emergency land in Baku. Hai. Such bad luck. To be continued in the next post!
