Finally found some time for a small report on my trip to Berlin. I visited Berlin during christmas period with my wife. We were departing from Berlin Schonfeld Airport on Wow Air to Reykjavik, Iceland.
Schonfeld is a small airport that is soon to be replaced by the newer Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
It is very busy however when we visited, due to the large number of budget flights using the airport as a regional base.
Look out for the sign pointing to the lounge once you are past customs check.
The entrance is tough to find, plus one have to come out to use the washroom
We used our PP to gain access. 2 free visits a year!
Some simple beverages and nuts
The seating is not much but there were only 4 people inside the lounge including us. Wifi speed is average. Great views of the tarmac
We left the lounge and boarded the flight. Wow air is recently acquired airline whose crew dresses up like the good old days of flying in 1970s
Predictably Seats are quite cramped but fortunately we are asians so it was less of a squeeze for us.
The flight was uneventful. The Overhead IFE showed Ice age 2 in german. We fell asleep and woke up to find Iceland to our left! What a desolate and beautiful landscape!
