Lounge Review: Changi Airport Terminal 2 SATS Lounge

We were travelling from SQ 976 Sin-Bkk on economy. After arriving at the airport at 1.45 pm, check in was a breeze as we checked in by internet the day before.
The SATS lounge is located at level 3. The escalator leading up to the lounge is located at the ATMs closer to the gates at E and D. Fortunately our gate is located at E26 so it is along the way. This is a contract lounge where one would pay a annual membership fee for unlimited visits in a year. We used our complimentary SATS lounge voucher that were provided by Krisflyer Ascend card(I'll do a review on that shortly).

We handed the voucher and the KF credit card over at the entrance for registration. The lounge is not crowded at all when we were there from 2 to 3.30 pm.

The cold buffet spread consists of salads, bread, sandwiches and cakes. There are also a few hot dishes: Sambal fish with rice, curry chicken with rice and penne with cream sauce. Quality wise average. Beverages include juices, soft drinks, coffee from the coffee maker and several alcoholic ones as well. No wonder some people are drunk when they board the flights. We helped ourselves to the juices and soft drinks.

Wifi speed is fast. This might be dependent on the number of people in the lounge. There are a few workstations, both PC and Mac. We simply settled down in a quiet corner and passed time while reading. Towels are available from the counter if you need a shower and there are even massage chairs, not bad at all.
Overall, this lounge is a decent one though one may be disappointed if he is looking for a good meal. But as a contract lounge, it's good enough.
